Making Your Pictures Ready To Hang with Frames & Canvas Stretching

Canvas Stretching

For UK clients, canvas prints are supplied stretched, ready to hang. We've sourced stretcher bars in two sizes to suit the picture dimensions.

Canvases less than 24"x24" are stretched on 0.75" bars. From 24"x24" upwards they are supplied on more substantial 1.75" bars as standard. These give your pictures a solid 3-dimensional look.

Canvases are stapled on the back of the stretcher bars so that they can be hung without framing.

Canvases for clients outside the UK are usually supplied rolled, ready for stretching locally. They can be shipped ready to hang. Ask for more information should you require this service.

Picture Framing

Paper prints are hand framed, including to conservation standard, if requested. Standard frames are shown on the right.

Mountboards are usually off-white. However, as with frame selection, many other colours and styles are available. Please contact us to discuss what suits you best.

Case Study: the client owned a fish restaurant and asked for pictures with a marine theme. After selecting from a shortlist of images, he agreed that they should be put in pale cream mounts - a shade lighter than the walls - and oak frames that matched the panelling on the lower half of the walls. The end result was a very 'designed' look.
