Frank Gibson
Frank is a dedicated watercolour artist.

His work is inspired by memories of places visited 20 to 40 years ago. He captures the essence of areas such as Scotland, the Lake District and Norfolk. His skies are particularly evocative of times of day and seasons.
Some of Frank's work has an oriental feel. This comes, in part, from the way he paints. Oriental artists study their subject for days, absorbing its lines and 'feel' until they're ready to commit to their canvas. At that point they paint in flowing movements until the work is complete. The western tradition involves more sketching and altering and is, arguably, less fluid. Frank's sweeping skies show the eastern influence.

Frank's work is mostly in private collections around the world. There are some very dedicated Frank Gibson collectors.

Frank exhibits mainly in Norfolk and has a number of shows lined up for 2006. Through representation by All About Pictures his work is becoming more widely shown.

His pictures are available as limited edition prints and original works from All About Pictures Limited.
